Sugar & Dairy Free Chocolate Truffles

Writer: Nourish by NudratNourish by Nudrat

These are the best. They are my go to sugar free treats and I've just made a batch for Ramadan.

Fruit and nut chocolate truffle balls on a patterned glass tray, coated in coconut and pistachio. The background is decorative, enhancing the sweet presentation.

They're so versatile. You can swap out the different nut butters, use crunchy or smooth, try different dried fruits and cover them with whatever takes your fancy.

They are high in healthy fats and protein, sugar free, gluten free and dairy free.

What's not to like. The only thing is can you resist eating them.

Ingredients

150g blanched almonds

200g coconut oil

2 tbsp honey

250g nut butter

150g finely chopped dried fruit

2 tbsp cacao

Desiccated coconut / ground pistachios for your coating

Method

  • Toast the nuts in the oven or on dry frying pan. Remove and set aside to cool, then chop into small pieces.

  • Melt the coconut oil and honey in a pan.

  • Add the nut butter and mix until fully mixed

  • Add the dried fruits and cacao and mix well

  • Pour into a bowl and chill for at least an hour, until it firms up

  • Then start taking small amounts and roll them into balls and coat them in desiccated coconut or pistachios

I keep these in the fridge.
